The Cincinnati Kid is a movie that was released in 1965. It is about a poker player named The Kid in the depression era. The kid challenged an older poker player to a poker match and this leads to an exciting final. The movie was adapted from a novel by Richard Jessup and directed by Norman Jewinson. The leading roles were played by Edward G. Robinson and Steve McQueen. There were diverse reactions when the movie was released and two of the supporting actors received awards for their roles.
Traffic is another great movie that was partly shot in Cincinnati from director Steven Soderberg. It is about the trade of drugs and the various parties that are involved in the process including traffickers, politicians, users and enforcers. This film wanted to bring out how all these parties affect each other even when there is no direct contact.

Some of the actors who appeared in this movie included Chris Conrad, Seth Green, Jacob Vargas, Jack Black and Shane McDermott. This movie is about a Californian teenager who enjoys roller blading and surfing. His parents plan to move to Australia and he is excited about the idea of surfing in the Australian shores but he realizes that he will remain behind until he finishes school.
Cincinnati was also one of the locations used to shoot the movie Rain Man which was a comedy released in 1988.
