It is one of the most sought after activities in Cincinnati by both locals and tourists. When will the Butterfly Show in 2011 be held? The 16th anniversary Butterfly Show is coming in this year. The show will be held from 10:00am to 5:00pm from April 16 to June 26, 2011. If you don't want to miss the show, plan your visit to Krohn Conservatory Butterfly Show as early as possible.
What is the general admission for the Butterfly Show at Krohn Conservatory? The admission for the show is $6 per adult, $5 per senior and $4 per child (under 17). Children aged 4 or younger are admitted free. Family packages are also available with an admission of $20 including admission for 2 adults and up to 6 children. You can get tickets at Krohn Conservatory every day.
During April 19 to June 20, 2010, the show provided discounted tickets for day camps and school groups, students from preschool to 12th grades. Maybe you can expect there is such an admission price in 2011.
What will the 2011 Krohn Conservatory Butterfly Show offer? This year's Krohn Conservatory Butterfly Show will offer an extraordinary opportunity to experience the amazing styles, sounds and soul of Brazil at your fingertips. You will be impressed by lush tropical flora and fauna, and the mystery of Afro-Brazilian folklore.
You will enjoy walking among hundreds of butterflies from exotic Brazil in free flight in the conservatory showroom. There are also tropical flowers of all kinds providing food and shelter, as well as a charming, various-colored backdrop for the butterflies fluttering around the showroom. Guests of all ages will also cheer up in butterfly behavior including flight, feeding, basking and courtship.
Every Butterfly Show also provides a 30-minute class about the life cycle of the butterflies during the show time. It is a great opportunity that can enhance your visit for only $25 per 40 students.
If you have kids, do remember to take them to the Butterfly Show. You would be impressed by how much fun the kids were having even if it was a sticky humid day.
Do you want to be a volunteer for Krohn Conservatory Butterfly Show? Every year, there are hundreds of volunteers helping make the show possible. In 2010, Krohn were looking for more than 500 volunteers. This year, it may rely on more volunteers. Every volunteer will receive two complimentary tickets. The main positions for volunteers include door guards, greeters and event assistants. Generally speaking, there are three daily shifts available. They are from 9:45am to noon, 11:45am to 2:30pm and 2:15pm to 5:00pm respectively. However, special events shifts subject to vary.
- Door Guards (monitor the doors to make sure butterflies remain inside the showroom area when guests enter and exit)
- Greeters (greet and direct visitors upon arrival to the conservatory, besides doing surveys and giving general Krohn directions)
- Event Assistants (help with various special events)
