
Student Guide to the University of Cincinnati Campus Recreation Center
Cincinnati campus recreation center is one of the premier fitness and recreation facility for providing excellent programs and services to the student community of the University of Cincinnati on a membership base. The recreation center is one of the key components building the society.
The center was established in the 1890s when the first interclass basketball was held successfully, and today the campus recreation center opened the doors of the building to an astounding 200, 000 square feet. They serve more than 400 intramural league teams, provides multiple group and instructional classes serving nearly 2, 400 patrons daily.
The center holds eight racquetball courts, six courts for basketball that is also used for badminton and volleyball. An Olympic sized lap pool with eight lanes is available for swimmers. Other facilities for water sports are a current channel, water wall, whirlpool and bubble couch. There is a 40-foot climbing wall to go high. There is a fitness center of 17, 000 square-feet with more than 200 cardio and fitness machines, 10, 000 pounds of free weights and a cardio theater with nearly eight plasma TVs.
There is a suspended track for athletes with nearly four lanes and three multi-purpose rooms with area and space for warm up and stretching.
Campus recreation center is one of the best places where there is something for everyone from personal training, massage therapy and group fitness to swimming, rock climbing and youth activities. Thus, this has turned to be a state-of-the-art fitness and recreation facility.
