The city of Cincinnati boasts of an excellent transportation system, making your travel in Cincinnati smooth and perfect. One of the many ways of going from one place to another is to opt for the ferry service. The Anderson ferry takes passengers everyday from the city of Cincinnati to Northern Kentucky.
The timings of the ferry service vary. During the months from May to October the ferry service is available from Monday to Friday from 6 am to 9.45 pm. On Saturday it is available from 7 am to 9.45 pm and on Sundays it is available from 9 am to 9.45 pm. The service starts at 7 am on all the holidays during these months.
During the months from November to April the ferry service operates from Monday to Friday from 6 am to 8 pm. On Saturday the service is available from 7 am to 8 pm. On Sundays the service is available from 10 am to 8 pm. The service is not available on Christmas day.

Monthly pass or bulk options are no longer available with the Anderson ferry. As of Jan 2008 the tolls are $4.00 per car; $1 per bike; $2.00 Motorcycle,.50 cents per pedestrian.

Anderson ferry plies on a daily basis. At times during peak hours there are two ferries and at other times there is just one ferry that carries the passengers. The ferries that run presently are Little Boone, Deborah A and Boone 7.
The Anderson ferry is the only survivor of the number of ferries that served the region at one point of time. It has been operating since 1817. The ferry is situated 6 miles to the west side of downtown Cincinnati. The ferry has become very popular in the recent years due to the expansion of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport.
