Cincinnati experiences particularly harsh winters, and as the snow begins to melt after the long winter months and the weather starts getting warmer, people from every corner of the city begin to come together in various events and festivals. Cincinnati, the third largest city in the state of Ohio, has a lot to offer in terms of exciting events and festivals the year round.
A carefully planned Cincinnati travel plan will give you the opportunity to witness such an event or festival during your stay in the city. Here is a quick round-up of the more popular ones to help you decide better.
The Cincinnati Travel, Sports and Boat Show, organized in January, promises a lot of fun for just about everybody. It combines exciting boating and fishing fun for all enthusiasts of such sports.
The 20th annual Cincinnati International Wine Festival will be organized from March 11 - 13, 2010. Cincinnati plays host to all kinds of festivals and parties throughout the year that are often too good to miss. Sometimes, your Cincinnati travel plans can land you right in the middle of an event that is being held there. Sometimes you may have to extend your stay. For example, in June, you can catch the Italian Festival that is held in the Newport Shopping Center and celebrates Newport Italian history and heritage.
Earlier in March, you can enjoy hours and hours of storytelling, food and music, crafts and dancing at the Celtic Lands Culture Fest, held in the Museum Center on Western Avenue.
